FragBlast 2009 :: Granada 2009

Authors

Authors wishing to present papers at Fragblast 9 are invited to submit an abstract before October 31, 2008. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of the abstracts by November 30, 2008. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit the full paper no later than February 28, 2009. Papers will be peer-reviewed.

Authors are required to present their papers at the conference. Only papers that are presented will be included in the published proceedings. Fragblast proceedings have a worldwide circulation and are recognized as first class publications in their field.

Nearly 200 abstracts have been submitted. Papers are now under the review process.

Abstracts submission

Abstracts should be written in English with a length of 200 – 400 words.
Submit your abstract as an MS-Word file.
Use TmsNewRmn 12 pts, 1.5 lines spacing.

The abstract should be one page as follows:

-Paper title
-Author1 (First name initial. Middle initial(s). Surname), Author2, ... & AuthorN
-Abstract text (200-400 words), summarizing the aim, the work done, the main results and the main conclusions of your paper.
Save the file with the following name: the first three letters should be the first three letters of the surname of the first author; the second three letters should be the first letter of the first three words of the title of the paper. All lowercase letters.

Submit the file either:

  2. By email, as attachment, to: abstracts@fragblast.org. In this case include a cover page before the abstract page with the following information (i.e. the abstract file should be two pages).
  3. Paper title
  4. First author’s First name Middle initial(s) Surname
  5. Affiliation
  6. Mailing address
  7. Phone
  8. Fax
  9. E-mail address
  10. Second author’s First name, Middle initial(s) Surname, Affiliation
  11. Third author’s First name Middle initial(s) Surname, Affiliation
  12. [Continue until all authors are listed]

Deadline for submission of abstracts is October 31, 2008.

Please note:
  1. You must submit your full paper no later than February 28, 2009. It must be a standalone, camera-ready Word document. See editing instructions and templates in www.fragblast.org/authors. You don't need to send the artwork/figures as separate files at this stage, but embedded in the Word file at the right places.
  2. The paper will be peer reviewed. Should it be accepted, you will be asked to send also your figures/artwork as separate files and also a printed hard copy of the paper.
  3. The maximum number of pages per paper is 10.

After receiving the final acceptance notice, you should send (see section 6 of the Instructions file):

  • The camera-ready copy of the complete paper, printed on a high resolution printer on one side of the paper as well as two copies of the paper.
  • Original photographs or images (if any).
  • The copyright form (to be supplied to authors).
